Graf von Faber-Castell 3 Graphite Pencils Guilloche – India Red

The Guilloche pencil is the clearest argument that a wooden pencil can be a luxury object. The barrel is finished in India Red resin — a deep, warm crimson — and then engraved line by line with a guilloche pattern: the same ornamental technique historically used on fine watches, jewellery, and the legendary Fabergé eggs. After engraving, each barrel goes through a manual lacquering and polishing process that brings the pattern into relief and gives the surface a depth that is immediately apparent in the hand. The pencils themselves are full-length at 132 mm, with a 9 mm diameter that sits comfortably between the fingers without rolling.
